Businesses can help ensure environmental protection and prevent damage to the sanitary sewer system, obstructions within the collection system, pass through of pollutants from our facility into the environment, and toxic conditions for system crews by preventing harmful discharges and spills. For example, food handling establishments must install onsite grease interceptors, and motor oil storage areas must not have drains to the sanitary sewer.
Building permits require MRWPCA sign-off and possible pretreatment equipment installations. Please check with our Source Control Department during project planning to prevent unexpected delays and expense. Call (831) 1118 or (831) 424-1108 or email Source Control.
